Biography

Tricia Barker is a graduate of Goddard College's MFA program.  Recently, her poems have been published by The Binnacle, The Midwest Quarterly, Patterson Review, Ugly Accent, Best Poem, Iodine Poetry Journal, The San Antonio-Express News, and Ibbetson Street Press.
  
Her first chapbook is a finalist in the Women of Words Contest by Southern Hum Press.  Before working as an English Professor, Tricia taught English in the public school system, ESL in South Korea, and worked as a waitress in order to pay The University of Texas for an undergraduate degree.  Besides various writing projects, Tricia is working on compiling interviews for a documentary about near-death experiences. 

She attended the 2008 Summer Literary Seminar in St. Petersburg, Russia.  Currently, Tricia teaches English for the Dallas County Community College District and works as a freelance editor of books, dissertations, and essays.
